Our History
The Property Education Foundation (PEF) was founded in 1989 as the Valuation and Land Economy Education Foundation.
The Foundation has a rich history dedicated to supporting the development of property education in Western Australia.
Renamed in 1998, PEF continued with its mission to provide vital support through funding and strategic partnerships aimed at enhancing educational opportunities within the property industry.
Stalwarts in property – Dick Lester, Larry Iffla and Tom Whipple played instrumental roles in shaping our vision and growth. Their collective efforts laid the groundwork for what has become a pivotal organisation in driving talent across the diverse property sector.
OUR HISTORY
Our impact
From the outset, we remain committed to enriching property education in WA. We have facilitated the introduction of new degrees and courses at Curtin University, in an effort to expand the academic landscape for aspiring property professionals and create a world class property education centre in WA.
Our funding initiatives include scholarships, internships and professional development courses, all designed to nurture students and young professionals entering the field.
Our outreach efforts have also evolved. We actively promote property careers through school career events, raising awareness and interest among students.
Despite facing challenges over the years, we have continually adapted to enhance how we engage with students and professionals. We remain steadfast in our mission to support property education in Perth and empower professionals, ensuring the future of WA’s property industry is bright.
