On the 14th of October, the Property Education Foundation Board and Operations Committee convened for the Annual General Meeting.
Our Chairman, Joe Lenzo presented an overview of the Foundation’s accomplishments over the past year.
Chairman’s Report:
Population growth has continued a similar trend as last year. This has maintained a significant imbalance between housing supply and demand maintaining pressure on WA residential sales. Rental markets are only just beginning to show signs of moderating.
In this environment the Foundation has continued its level of activity in student attraction and student industry engagement activities.
This has included:
- attendance at schools’ career expos,
- the award of two property student scholarships
- the award for excellence sponsored by Skyfields
- the annual fundraising yachting regatta, and
- completion of the new Property Education website
The Foundation’s investment portfolio continues to be managed by Shadforth Financial Group. The investment account balance at 30 June 2025 comprised $756,435 and cash balance was $59,945. The net return for the portfolio for the financial year 24/25 was 9.3%
This year I will be stepping down from the position of Chairman.
It has been a rewarding period watching young students select property as their preferred career and progress to senior positions.
Throughout my time as Chairman I have been fortunate to work with dedicated property industry leaders (too many to mention) your support and advice has been much appreciated.
Joe Lenzo
Chairman
